Arts and Commerce Collge, Soygaon was established in 2003 in Soygaon village situated at the bank of Girana River. It is a branch of the giant mother institute; Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Nashik. The main objective of our college is to provide opportunities for higher education to the students of the rural and tribal areas. The college was started in a Private Rented building with merely 30 students to B.A. and 20 students to B.Com. faculties respectively. Since then, the college has witnessed a remarkable growth in the number of students seeking admission in different courses offered by it. The college has the facilities like a spacious Playground, indoor-outdoor games, Gymnasium, computerized Library with a collection of 3,000 Books, spacious reading hall, Health Centre, Placement Cell, Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell, well equipped Computer Laboratories, Language Laboratory for English, Psychology Laboratory, Internet Hub etc. are some of the salient features of the college. There are several rank holders to the credit of college. The college has a staff of about 28 consisting of 15 Teachers and 13 non- teachings. Our College has well qualified Faculty of about 13 teachers out of which 6 are Ph.D. holders, 9 are pursuing their Ph.D. from the Savitribai Phule Pune University. The teachers regularly contribute to social and cultural activities along with their teaching work.
Teachers of this college have published research papers in various reputed journals; some of them are regular authors of well-known newspaper articles. The college consistently organized Workshops, Seminars Symposia etc. for the motivation of the teachers and students. The college conducts coaching for Competitive Examinations such as UPSC/ MPSC/ Staff selection etc. Many students have been recruited in Military and Police departments. The College has advanced computing facility with latest hardware and necessary software. The college is providing Broadband Internet facility to all the departments and common facility for the students since 2015.
The college has developed a healthy and safe atmosphere conducive for all round development of the students’ personality.
